Bailey Campbell a PA licensed massage therapist, 200 hour yoga teacher, and the sole-practitioner behind Alpha Waves Wellness. A life-long student of human movement and anatomy, Bailey has found a passion in helping others unlock their potential through whole-body wellness. By creating a foundation that allows for a better understanding of the body, pain sources, and the nervous system, clients are able to take the next steps in working towards a healthier and more comfortable life. The foundation of Bailey’s approach to massage therapy is focused on the clinical benefits found in sports and therapeutic massage. What sets her apart is the importance placed on accessing a deeper level of nervous system relaxation and restoration while targeting specific muscular complications. This is where the name, Alpha Waves Wellness, comes into play. Alpha brain wave frequency is an awake but meditative state that helps to promote calmness and creativity. This state is as much a goal during each massage and yoga session as the techniques used. Together, we can work to understand the body in order to alleviate pain, increase athletic performance and recovery, and help to feel connected to the body again. Bailey has continued to expand her background knowledge with certifications in cupping therapy, prenatal massage, corrective exercise (NASM), and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (Rock Tape FMT Blades). She has spent the last five years working with various athletic organizations, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, University of Pittsburgh football, swimming and diving, basketball, soccer, gymnastics, and lacrosse, Duquesne University swimming and diving, and basketball and Bryant University swimming and diving.
